Mordheim Gang: Marienburg [Work in Progress]
My reinforcements have arrived last week and now I can proudly present them with 3 finished colours: red, yellow and white ( the trousers & some of the sleeves). The fat one in the middle is one of my favourites and represents the captain of my warband.Note that I drilled and cut chunks out of the Orc-head which usually lies at the feet of the top right swordsman to make it look like a stone, since I did not want to let any green spoil the colour-composition of my warband .I hope that I get to finish them this weekend, so that I can return to my last 50 Skaven Miniatures (30 Clanrats and 20 or so giant rats ... X,x)

Greater Deamon of Nurgle
Hey there,
This is a quick introduction into my new project: The Greater Deamon of Nurgle from Forgeworld. I am off to switzerland for the weekend to take advantage of the snow for some boarding action. Before I move out I wanted to share the first pictures with you.
I always wanted to paint this big ugly thing since I love the way its sculpted and the wicked smile on his face is brilliant. Back in the day I was fascinated with Matts Great Unclean One and so I decided to aim my project in this direction when in comes to colours.
When the snow storm was raging outside I decided the time has come to take the airbrush and start the project. I wanted to to a step by step but at one point the painting deamons inside of me took control and i totally forgot about it.
But anyways....here are the pictures I have taken:
Pictures of the finished Jetbike are comming too in the next days..

Mordheim Gang Marienburg [Work in Progress]
I`ve always had a crush on some of the cool Mordheim-miniatures, so when a friend approached me last week and said "I`ve made myself a Pirate-gang for Mordheim", I quickly gathered the 4 Marienburg Gangers I still had lying about and ordered some of the cool GW "collector´s"Empire-miniatures. Since they have not arrived yet, I started painting on the first 4 ones.
I paint these miniatures for gaming purposes, so I am not going to put too much effort into the. I just want them to look nice on the battlefield. This is them with the most of the basic colours and washes applied, highlights and fine details are still to be done.

Sockelshop Package Arrived!
Hey there,
I just arrived at home after studies and found a new package from Sockelshop in the doorway, containing Vallejo Still Water Effect, AK Interactive Rust and Streaks and Slimy Grime Dark and a bottle of micro krystal clear to try out the nice lense Tutorial from my favourite blog : www.massivevoodoo.com
And here are the first results. Sry for the lightning, its just a photo taken with my smartphone cam and my desk lamp :
In the upper are you can see the tested out Rust Streak effect. As it is based on white spirit you cannot thin it with water. I think basicly it turns out like thinned down oil paint which is a little bit more controllable. ( you can say this is either good or bad, I like the effect of thinned oil paint since it flows around the rivets adn details pretty good- not so with this effect)
In the lower area you can see the Slimy grime effect. It can be used for ships to show moss, algae or other effects. same here as with the rust effect- its a little bit like working with thinned down oil paints.
Thats it for now...time to try the lense tutorial with the micro krystal clear ;)

Pegaso Models Kuvar Reaper Unpacked
Hey there,
I received some cool Stuff yesterday and with the package came the Kuvar Reaper from Pegaso Models. One of my favourite Models ever. Finally I got my hands on it here is the unpacked mini for everyone interested.
Box Contains:
- Base
- Wings with Robe
- Body
- 2 Feed
- Left lower Arm
- Right Lower Arm
- Sword
- beak
- hood
The Model is a pure piece of beauty. It looks like it just came out of a nightmare. When I saw the model painted up it immediatly became up of my favourites. The beak, the eye balls around his necks, the ancient looking hood. It reminded me of a tale from the author E.T.A Hoffmann called "Der Sandmann"
Its about a young man called Nathanael who suffers from a deep trauma because of a story heard from his grandmother when he was a child. She told him that the Sandman is a wicked creature who takes out the eyeballs of children to feed them to his breed, living on the half-circled moon.
The Sandman's Breed is discribed as having long curved beaks and so the Kuvar Reaper assembles a perfect Sandman for me.
I think this picture shows the atmosphere pretty good. Even if the sandman isnt shown as having a beak himself. The picture is from the artist called "fresh4you" from deviant art:
I'm really looking forward to paint this beast, since E.T.A Hoffmann's Sandmann was one of my favourite novels ever. I hope I can catch the feelings I had during the reading process. The dark and unconfortable atmosphere Hoffmann creates will hopefully turn out in my painting. We will see in the future....
After all here are the pictures of the Kuvar Reaper:

Deamon Prince of Khorne Comission Finished!
I just finished this Comission work a few days ago. I wanna present you the result here.
Model Basis was from Warmachine Hordes. Added the Axe with Plastic Card and Forgeworld Etched Brass Chaos Symbols.
I dunno about the wings but I think they're from a Reaper Model. Gladiator Arm build from Green Stuff, Mig rivets and the GW Lizardmen Lord Kroak Mask.
Horns on the Back from the Greater Deamon of Nurgle from Forgeworld and one from scratch. After all I really like how it turned out in the end. I made many changes during the process and finally you can see the result.
Here is the CMON Link if you wanna vote or leave a comment:

New CoC Member
Hey there painters, gamers and fellow brush lickers. I am happy to announce a new Member of the Cradle of Colours Studio. A good friend of mine joined our ranks and will take one tabletop standard comissions in the future. Here is a short introduction:
Negative One, Hackebeil or "DasDingausdemWald" is a fellow painter I know for a couple of years now. He is known for his relentless will to convert. He started out with Warhammer Fantasy over a decade ago and joined the ranks of the ferocious Skaven. But as we all know one army and one system isnt enough and so he expanded his collection with a Chaos Army for Warhammer Fantasy and also Warhammer 40.000.
His plans are now pointing in the direction of an Imperial Fist Space Marine Army with multiple weathering techniques on which he focuses at the moment. Make shure to check out his CoolMiniOrNot Gallery to see his recent works and projects.
Thats it for now, see you in the future,
